Indian Bike Launch January 7th

Yamaha is planning to release a new bike in India on January 7th, what could it be? The R25 is pretty much ruled out, however its likely Yamaha will introduce an entry level bike for the Indian market. That or some kind of sticker job special derivative....

Do they already have the FZ-09 there? It is a great entry level bike by Yamaha.

oh boy, Fz09 is no where near an entry level bike LOL. In india anything over 250cc is considered luxury...

How much is a bike like the R25 going to sell for there? I hear that they have a steep mark up on imported bikes, or do they actually produce the bikes in India to avoid that?

either they'll produce them in India, or more likely is that they will be manufactured elsewhere and shipped into India as kits to avoid import tariffs...

seeing how they have scooters everywhere, this is true. 1000cc bikes are probably rare in india, maybe allocated mostly to the big cities.

Wow, what a pointless thing to do, who really cares about some stupid mascot from a bike brand of all things lol.
Whoever was in control of making this happen should be fired.
